Sierra Digital Product Lines
Sierra Digital Communications offers Millimeter Wave radios in three
frequency bands for a variety of wireless transmission applications. In
accordance with SDC's basic design criteria, major assemblies are
configured with maximum commonality and interchangeability in mind.
They are priced as a low-cost alternative to land lines, with their
attendant problems of right-of-way constraints, trenching expenses, and
response time.
31 GHz Products
The 31GHz band is uncrowded with other users, so that m">local frequency coordination is not required by the FCC
These units can be installed in one hour, bolted in place, plugged in,
and aimed. Individual units consume only 15 watts. The 31 GHz systems
typically consist of a weatherproof outdoor
transmitter/receiver/antenna unit, and an indoor modem/line interface
unit.
23 GHz Products
This
series features a simple, compact design with a low parts count, and
highly derated solid state devices with an extremely high MTBF. A
special mount enables simplified, rapid installation. This system is
made up of three units: a weatherproof outdoor transmiter/receiver
unit, an antenna (not included), and an indoor modem/line interface
unit.
18 GHz Products
The 1800 series have an identical design as the 23 GHz Products, but operate at a lower frequency.
